MD. Ph.D Gao C

My name is Chunwen Gao and I graduated from Tongji Medical University in China in 1992.from Tongji Medical University in China in 1992. I am originally an orthopedic surgeon from Beijing Hospital, and came to Denmark in 1997. Here I started a PhD project in pain research, first at Skejby Hospital and later at Aalborg Hospital.

After I finished my PhD in 2001, I got a postdoc position at the University of California and went to the US. I returned to Denmark in 2002, where I worked as a doctor at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. I also spent time at the Department of Pathology at OUH, where I immersed myself in body anatomy and biomechanical function.

My approach to treatment is “simple treating”, which means “minimal damage/maximum effect”. This has been of great benefit to my patients. Today, I deal exclusively with non-invasive treatment, including cushion finger treatment, jumping finger, carpel tunnel syndrome.
